For decades there has been no standard approach to U.S. healthcare IT. Hospitals and clinics have invested in technology and infrastructure from dozens of software and hardware vendors, resulting in each facility having its own unique combination of hardware, software OS, application versions of workflow management systems, digital dictation applications, HIS and CIS, document distribution and management systems, interface engines, database structures, network functionality, connectivity, and security standards.

Interfacing eliminates redundancy and reduced errors; as such we strongly encourage the implementation of interfaces.  We have developed tools that enable us to quickly create interfaces, supporting many different formats including HL-7, of course.
